new project new blog

i have recently started a new module at uni for second year YAY so to document this Ive started a new blog so show my progress if any ones interested please take a look  http://helena-houghton.tumblr.com/ will think of a better blog name soon. but I'm exploring how to make a fully animatable face and also making a crow puppet to look at expression and personification, trying to give puppets personality in the way they move that sort of thing, so check it out im going to be working on this until sometime in may.

puppet stuff with forgery lit

over Christmas until now iv very very slowly been making a sort of Muppet puppet for a music video for my friends band forgery lit the video will be played 'hopfully' while their on tour in America Texas it started as a very structured story, comedy sketch type thing with small cheesy dance routine (story idea was death at a funeral meets Muppet show) but as times gone on and other people have all dived in to the project, it became a bit too many cooks spoil the broth. so the final idea is just to finish making the puppet (a sinister cupid looking thing) and just do some filming and mess about, coupled with some short cut paper stuff. so here is a few of my making of pictures of the puppet.

changes

as we continued to work for the group project at uni the idea kept becomming more and more elaberate so before it could get any worse our director Nicole Martin desided to strip the idea down to the bear minimum keeping the few things we all agreed on. the idea became a dance and we kept our tunnel but instead of a vine coverd tunnel it became a rusted looking frame/stage for the lovers to dance in. here is an example of the choreography theat we (mainly Nicole) put togeather that is now acting as our animatic

the film calls itself bunker but after much discussion it was changed to ''War Torn'' as we plan to add war related sound to sujest the idea the male dancer is leaving her to go to war 

ninjary lawyers for you

this is the work i had from my pitch that wasn't chosen Ninjary lawyers for you, the idea was a accident lawyers advert mock with the tag line 'have you been in an accident while at work?...as a ninja' followed but a blooper reel of different accident that can happen to a ninja at work which climaxed in one ninja who mistakenly cuts off his own arms.

a while ago while i was still at college i made some illustrations for the play a midsummer night dream and iv been meaning to put them online for a while now so before i forget a second time.
